Dandeli is a town in the Uttara Kannada District of Karnataka and is surrounded by greenery, beautiful forests and more because it is located alongside the Kali river. Standing out among other attractions in the region are the limestone caves discovered at different places in Karnataka. 

The volcanically created Kavala Caves are perhaps the most famous caves that are visited by people in large numbers. These caves are famous for long corridors and a total of 375 steps leading to them at the entrance. Full of snakes and bats, it contains big stalagmites .

The cave is famous among Lord Shiva worshippers and considered to be one of the most famous historical places in Karnataka.
