Day 1

Stop: 60 minutes - Admission included

Begin your religious Jammu and Kashmir holiday with a visit to Katra. The Jammu and Kashmir tour itinerary begins with pickup from the Jammu Tawi Railway Station. The agent’s representative will be there to receive and escort you to Katra. You will be directly taken to the hotel in Katra for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay. Distance from Jammu To Katra: 55 km Travel Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Day 2

Stop: 60 minutes - Admission included

Get ready for the holy pilgrimage to the temple of Mata Vaishno Devi - the highlight of this Jammu Kashmir tour. After an early breakfast at the Katra hotel, you will be transferred to Banganga. The onward journey to the temple of Mata Vaishno Devi has to covered on your own. You can cover the 12 km pilgrimage on foot or take a pony right to the top of the cave. Later, you will be picked up from Banganga and transferred back to the Katra hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Is sightseeing cost included in the package cost?

No, due to the local government’s transport rules the sightseeing cost is not included in the package cost. Pony rides, Gondola rides, water sports, and other activities are also charged extra. On request, the agent can provide an idea of this cost as well.

Does the package cover the entire pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi?

No, the package only covers the transfer to Banganga. The journey from Bangana to the Vaishno Devi Cave is not included in the package. You can either travel on foot or hire a pony at your own cost to the top. Similarly, pick-up to the hotel is from Banganga.

What can be expected from the hotels in Kashmir?

All hotels will be of standard category, unless mentioned otherwise, in a good location. The hotels will have all basic amenities, such as attached baths in rooms with running hot and cold water, television, in-house restaurant, and all other services of deluxe quality.

Day 3

It is time to head to Kashmir for the remaining part of your Jammu and Kashmir tour. The third day of your Jammu and Kashmir package begins with breakfast and check-out from the hotel in Katra. You will be transferred to Srinagar. Lunch can be taken on the way at a local restaurant. You will directly be taken to the jetty around Dal Lake where the Shikaras are docked. After check-in, you will be taken for a shikara ride to the Nehru Park. Dinner and overnight is offered in the houseboat itself. Day 4

Stop: 60 minutes - Admission included

Move on to Gulmarg and indulge in some fun-filled leisure activities and sightseeing tours. Post breakfast, check-out from the houseboat in Dal Lake and proceed to Gulmarg. Check-in at the hotel, and enjoy rest of the day as leisure day. You can use the day to visit tourist attractions like Maharani Temple, Ziarat of Baba Reshi and Children’s Park. After an exciting day in the Meadow of Flowers, you will be transferred back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Distance from Dal Lake to Gulmarg: 56 km Travel Time: 1 hour 30 minutes Optional: You can indulge in light activities such as golf at the world’s highest golf course, nature walks, bird watching, and pony rides. But the Gondola Cable Car Ride to Khilanmarg is the most popular thing to be included in the all tour packages for Kashmir. Tip: The list of tourist attractions is big and the time at hand is less. So choose well the activities that you feel are best suited for you. But we suggest not to miss the Cable Ride.

Indulge in the numerous leisure activities offered in the Pahalgam valley. The next day of the Jammu and Kashmir tour package will begin with breakfast and check-out from the hotel in Gulmarg. After this, you will be transferred to Pahalgam. En route, you can see the beautiful saffron fields. Have lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. After a fun-filled day, you will be taken to the hotel in Pahalgam for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay. Distance from Gulmarg to Pahalgam: 138 km Travel Time: 2 hours 45 minutes Optional: You can visit the Anantnag Sulpher Springs enr oute. Spend your next day exploring the numerous city attractions of Srinagar. The Kashmir tour package will take you back to Srinagar after a filling breakfast at the Pahalgam hotel. Directly take the excursion to the Shankaracharya Hill Temple before heading for check-in at the Srinagar hotel. In the evening, you will be taken for the Grand Mughal Gardens’ tour. What are the things to keep in mind regarding the stay on the houseboat?

You can expect frequent power cuts on the houseboats. Also, the housekeeping is not available at all hours. Since the food as to be brought from outside, timings of all meals are also fixed to prevent the food from getting cold.

What kind of clothing should one be carrying?

Light woolens are sufficient during summers. But in winters, we suggest you to carry thick woolens as the temperatures may go below the freezing point.

How far is Gulmarg from Pahalgam?

The distance between Pahalgam and Gulmarg is about 140 km and it will take about 4 to 5 hours to reach from one destination to another.
