Day 1: Arrival in Tirana and Journey to Berat
Your adventure begins in Tirana, Albania’s capital. From Tirana, you will travel to Berat, about 120 kilometers away. The drive takes approximately two hours and offers picturesque views of the Albanian countryside.
Berat: The City of a Thousand Windows
Berat is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its well-preserved Ottoman architecture. As you wander through the cobbled streets of the old town, you will see charming white houses with distinctive windows. Don’t miss Berat Castle, which overlooks the town. Inside the castle, you can explore ancient churches and enjoy stunning views of the Osum River.
Visit the Ethnographic Museum, located in a traditional house. Here, you will learn about the local culture and history. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring Berat's beautiful streets and taking photographs of its unique architecture.

Day 2: Gjirokastër and the Stone City
On the second day, you will head to Gjirokastër, approximately 30 kilometers from Berat. This UNESCO World Heritage site is known as the "City of Stone" because of its distinctive stone houses.
Exploring Gjirokastër
Visit Gjirokastër Castle, which dominates the town. The castle houses a museum with historical artifacts and offers breathtaking views of the valley. While exploring the castle, you can also see a collection of weapons and memorabilia from the Communist era.
Stroll through the narrow streets and admire the unique architecture. The town is famous for its traditional shops selling crafts and souvenirs. Don't forget to visit the Ethnographic Museum, located in the former home of the Albanian dictator Enver Hoxha.

Day 3: Discovering the Blue Eye and the Riviera
On the third day, embark on an excursion to the Blue Eye, a stunning natural spring located about 20 kilometers from Gjirokastër. The vibrant blue water is mesmerizing and surrounded by lush greenery. Take time to relax and enjoy the serene environment.
After visiting the Blue Eye, you will head to the Albanian Riviera. This coastline is famous for its beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. Depending on the season, you might stop at beaches like Himara or Jale Beach.

Day 4: Apollonia and Return to Tirana
On your final day, you will visit Apollonia, an ancient city located near Fier. This archaeological site is about 90 kilometers from the Riviera. The drive will take approximately two hours.
Exploring Apollonia
As you explore Apollonia, you will discover well-preserved ruins, including a theater and temples. The site also features a museum with artifacts from the ancient city. The scenic surroundings make it an ideal spot for photography.
After your visit to Apollonia, return to Tirana. The drive back will take about 1.5 hours. Enjoy your last evening in the capital city, where you can explore local shops or relax at a café.
